"My journey as an artist began in 2008 and every year I am grateful for what art has brought into my life. It has changed the way I see the world and given me an avenue for expression that is occasionally frustrating and always fulfilling.
I find inspiration in the natural world and tend to express my connection in watercolor, oil and pastel. I’m also fascinated by the human figure and work in graphite, charcoal, and markers to translate the beauty of the live form onto paper. I love the immediacy of sketching and always carry pencil, pen, and paper.
I’ve had the good fortune to study with wonderful teachers: Mary Lou John, Julia Morgan, Laurinda O’Connor, Charles Reid, Charles Spratt, Kathi Smith, and Heather McCullough.
I am always indebted to my painting friends who keep the inspiration going."
