Pam Urda
The question I am asked the most frequently by far is, "How did you think of that?" Depending on how cheeky I am feeling on any given day, my answer varies between, "It's a gift!" and, "I have no idea but I am still pretty happy about it." All I know for sure is that my art cracks me up on a daily basis and, in my opinion, that is a great way to live. Who doesn't need to laugh a little bit more? When I'm building beings from junk, I am always happy to be making something that will cheer me up, and hopefully, bring joy to someone else as well. What really jazzes me up is to pair a commonly known thing, like chickens, with another commonly known thing like Star Wars, and come up with the unexpected. For example...Princess Layer...take all the time you need. Truthfully, there is no deeper meaning to my Art. I am not trying to manipulate your thoughts or change the world or save the earth. There are a lot of people who are a lot smarter than me who will gladly help out along those lines. I am not saying that there should or should not be a deeper meaning to Art. Do what you want, it's all good. All I want is to add little more sunshine and a lot more silly to both my world and yours. I am good on my end so now it is someone else's turn.
