Elisa Lanzi
Elisa Lanzi: An experienced printmaker, papermaker, and multimedia artist with a passion for the visual and literary arts. Broad experience in writing, digital/archival work, and cultural heritage information management acquired from a career in libraries, museums and publishing.
- As a 15 + year artist member of Zea Mays Printmaking Studio in Florence, MA I am trained in multiple non-toxic and sustainable printmaking practices. Received the Green Printmaking Certificate: Intaglio in July 2019.
- Over 25 years of papermaking experience as part of the Trout Paper Studio, a hand-papermaking shop in rural Washington County, NY. I apprenticed with Sophia Healy, the studio’s founder who trained in artist Kenneth Noland’s papermaking studio.
- Actively engaged with the arts community – exhibiting (since 1990s), curating, giving talks and teaching workshops. Extensive project management and committee experience – currently on the Zea Mays Exhibition Committee and teaching the History of Papermaking for the Smith College Book Studies Concentration.
